Balloon Drone - 2010
A sound installation for any number of speakers with balloons. Each speaker softly emits a specific frequency which is tuned to the resonance of the balloon, producing sound through the balloon's vibration and causing it to rotate. While the balloon makes its rotation, subtle changes in timbre can be heard. The continuous motion and small random movements of the balloons create a slow, gently evolving drone.
