Hydrophone II - 2006
Hydrophone II allows one to interactively generate sound simply by moving one's hand through water, using a hydrophone and recordings of traffic in the LA harbor as a source. Gestures, speed, depth, movements all determine the resulting soundscape. Additionally, transducers are applied to the water so that the sound produced is simultaneously felt.
