The Sound + Science Symposium was a two-day event in March 2009 at UCLA that brought together leading figures from a variety of disciplines within the University of California to discuss scientific research and technological breakthroughs concerned with sound and their applications and implications in relation to questions of culture, politics, history, environment, art and music. The event was sponsored by the UCLA Art|Sci Center and the UC Digital Arts Research Network. All talks were free, open to the public, and streamed live online.
