  •  Sound Studies - 2010

Sound Studies is a series of videos documenting various acoustic phenomena and events.

Melting - A speaker is encased is encased in ice. As the ice melts, sound begins to emerge and its timbre evolves throughout this process.

Styrofoam - An experiment in addition/subtraction where styrofoam peanuts are gradually added to a large speaker and then ejected out when the amplitude of the speaker is increased.

Wavefield - Two speakers are placed at opposite ends of a long hall, each playing a slightly different frequency. The camera moves very slowly from one end of the space to the other, revealing the ways in which the two tones combine throughout the space.
